This year's academies are being held at DiCaprio Park in Guilderland, New
York. The park is conveniently located off of Carman Road (Route 146) in
Schenectady just minutes from both Western Avenue (Route 20) and Interstate

Speed and Agility
Training During the July 28-July 31 week of camp
CBSA will be offering two different Speed and Agility Training sessions at a
cost of $30 per session.
Players age 10-11 are scheduled Monday and Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 pm with
players
12 -14 on Tuesday and Thursday 5:00-6:00 pm

Camp Philosophy
The goal of the Cross Bar Soccer Academy is to provide a positive learning
environment for all of its players. We have continued to accomplish this
goal by creating a competitive but enjoyable atmosphere where players
improve their individual skills and understanding of the game. These
principles are presented by our nationally licensed coaching staff.

General
Information
Each player should bring shin guards and a ball to camp. Water will be
provided to all players. Players participating in the goalkeeping program
should bring their own goalkeeping equipment. Each player who attends any of
the Summer Academies will receive a camp t-shirt.

ACADEMY PROGRAMS
Half Day Academy 9:00 - 12:00
Boys and Girls Ages 8-14 July 14-17
Fee: $75 per week
The Half Day Academy is geared toward our younger players. A curriculum
loaded with technical instruction, small-sided games, and lots of fun will
help players develop their individual skills as well as a love and passion
for the game. Players are grouped by age and skill level to ensure that
their instruction is challenging enough yet not overwhelming. This Academy
consists of one training session each day from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.

Goalkeeping Academy 9:00 - 12:00 & 6:00 -
8:00
Boys and Girls Ages 8-18 July 28-31
Fee: $165 per week
Our goalkeeping program will be offered during the Competitive Academy week.
Goalkeepers will work with the staff during the morning and evening sessions
and then participate in the full sided games. Specific attention will be
given to fundamentals, positioning, diving, handling crosses,
distribution and decision making. Goalkeepers should be prepared for a
challenging and rewarding week when signing up for the Goalkeeping Academy.

Fee: $165 per week
The Full Day Academy is designed for those looking for a full day camp that
includes top level soccer instruction and time at the pool! The Academy will
take place at DiCaprio Park from 9:00-12:00 noon. At the conclusion of the
soccer camp, players will ride the bus to Tawasentha Park. After a healthy
lunch under the pavilion (provided by the staff), campers will swim at the
town pool for an hour and finish up their day on the field playing
soccer-related games. Parents should pick up their children in front of the
pool entrance at 2 pm. All pool fees, transportation costs, and lunch for
all four days are included.
Competitive Academy 9:00 - 12:00 & 6:00 - 8:00
Boys and Girls Ages 8-18 July 28-31
Fee: $165 per week
This competitive week, although intense, provides a positive learning
environment for each participant. A curriculum which includes both small and
full-sided matches, combined with individual technical and tactical
training, will challenge players while improving their skills. Players are
grouped appropriately by both age and skill level. Each day�s Team Academy
consists of two sessions, the first from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and the
second from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Players are expected to attend each
training session.
Little Kickers Academy 6:00 - 8:00
Boys and Girls Ages 5-8 July 28-31
Fee: $65 per week
The Kickers Academy is about teaching the soccer basics and having fun. Our
focus is on fundamentals integrated with agility, balance, and coordination
exercises. The young children love this two hour Academy session. |
